The Lebanese Insurance Brokers Syndicate (LIBS) held on 18 July 2019 a seminar entitled “Compliance Awareness Session” in cooperation with AXA Middle East and in partnership with the Special Investigation Commission (SIC) BDL.
The seminar was attended by the President of the Syndicate Mr. Elias Hanna and its members with the participation of a large number of external brokers and non-affiliated insurance brokers.
The seminar addressed a number of important topics including combating money laundering and financing terrorism, List of indicators of money laundering and terrorist activity financing for the insurance sector, the role of insurance brokers in applying these laws and regulations, and Data Privacy topics; in addition to the importance of cooperation between brokers and insurance companies.
