The Nasnas Family established strong links with the French insurance group UAP, through a joint venture, Compagnie Libanaise d'assurance (CLA) that acquired the general agency of UAP.

Launch of Société Libano-Française d'Assurance d'Assurances et de Reassurances in Lebanon (SLF), a joint venture associating the Nasnas & Hanemoglou group who holds 51% of the shares with the Group UAP who acquired 49% of SLF's capital

The civil war broke out in Lebanon; throughout these difficult times, SLF honored all commitments towards its clients, despite the difficult circumstances.

Establishment of the "Société Libano-Française" in Paris to handle the operations of UAP agencies in Lebanon.

UAP group merged with the AXA group to become a global leader in Financial Protection Axa appointed the Nasnas & Hanemoglou Group to manage all of its portfolios in Lebanon including the Lebanese subsidiaries portfolio.

2000
Creation of AXA MIDDLE EAST whereby AXA group acquires 51% of SLF' capital and the Nasnas & Hanemoglou's Group the remaining 49%. The chairmanship of this new company is entrusted to Roger Nasnas while the General management went to Maurice Hanemoglou and Elie Nasnas.

Nasnas and Hanemoglou Group acquired the majority of AXA Middle East by holding 51% of the shares and 49% held by AXA SA with fully paid-up capital of LBP 22,500,000,000
